Living our call to be the hands & feet of Christ on the Rutgers New Brunswick Campus and the world!!
Every Wednesday at 5pm, we worship at the First Reformed Church at 9 Bayard Street which is just of George Street in New Brunswick. (Get off at Paterson Street and it's a 2 minute walk.)
As a small group we encounter God's Word with our pastors! We read, listen, discuss, and sometimes create something based on what we hear from the Holy Spirit! We share the Lord's Supper each week. This is a contemplative time that fuels us for the week ahead! Dinner and then"RU Spiritual" component follows at 5pm.
We eat together a lot! This is our chance to talk about our call...about the news of the world...about our lives! We laugh, cry, make plans. We're family in Christ.
We have plans to spend part of Spring Break in West Philadelphia working with youth.
Using creative arts we bring the "big spiritual questions" out to the campus! First Semester we had a "Chalk About", an interactive processing station at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary's door to commemorate the Protestant Reformation, and out annual "Labyrinth of Light" to contemplatively process gratitude. Our second semester events include "Hidden Message Rocks", a Flash Mob, and a sand mandala. These are amazing ways we can engage with all sorts of different faiths, and no faith to start conversations and encourage deep thought!
Sign up to hear from us about our services and events.
We love our students! Since we're often out and about on campus, it's best to text or email so we can have a coffee and meet in person on campus, or at our office! Blessings!
